Carriage rides at home
"Clop-Clop-Clop-Clop"
When I hear that sound I know
that the local carriage rides are
coming past my house.
"Clop-clop-clop-clop"
Sometimes the steps are slow and easy;
other times, like today,
they're hurrying on past.
"Clop-Clop-Clop-Clop"
Three days a week the carriages come.
Tourists sit in the back
and if they can see out
they "oooh and ahhh"
as they stare up at our house.
Sometime I think I'll wave to them.
Or maybe if they come by on
Halloween CG will get crazy
~ as he's been known to do ~
and he'll flag the team down
stopping them to pass around
a pumpkin full of candy
before they head off to their
next destination.
"Clop-clop-clop-clop"
I wonder what they
will sound like this winter.
When the streets are covered
with snow and ice.
(Maybe they'll slide along.....?)
Stay tuned to find out.
