Farewell to October

Where did the month of October go?

So quickly gone.

We are now deep into
November and heading towards Thanksgiving and
the Christmas holidays.

But before moving forward, I want to pause and glance
backwards to remember and say a soft farewell to October.




Autumn is my favorite time of the year. We surely had some very beautiful "Indian summer" days to enjoy in there between all the rainy, misty days. It was lovely when the clouds dispersed and revealed the snow covered mountains! A few frosty mornings that quickly turned into bright sunny days. Leaves dropping from the trees and scattering all around.

Mr. Pumpkin did his part to bring a soft golden hue to the days and cheer to the dark nights at Chalet Greene. He was also quite generous this year with pumpkin seeds, which I managed to toast and munch on for several days. Yummmmm.
